MARCH
According to a recent Greenpeace report, in the 1990s the Amazon rainforest was capable of absorbing 2 billion tonnes of CO2. Intensive logging of the rainforest for agricultural and livestock uses has reduced that figure by half.
In addition to reducing CO2 absorption, indiscriminate logging reduces biodiversity, promotes soil erosion, displaces indigenous populations living in the rainforest and makes it increasingly difficult for the planet’s largest lung to recover.

VISIT OF THE MONTH
These two native buddies offered to be in charge of the guarding to ensure the integrity of one of our PV plants. At the time of the photo, both of them spotted another animal trying to get into the enclosure and, with characteristic diligence, leapt in to prevent it from gaining access before it was too late.
