GRS O&M has reached a new milestone in its growth strategy by being awarded the operation and maintenance contract for Solara4 (219 MWp), one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Portugal. The agreement reached with Solara4 S.A., owned by WElink Energy, will have an initial duration of two years, extendable to a maximum of ten.
Solara4 is the fourth large-scale project in Portugal in which GRS O&M is currently involved, following Insua (48.4 MWp), Penamacor (82 MWp), and Famalicao (49 MWp), as well as several smaller installations, all of which were built by GRS Construction teams.
This agreement, which may be extended for up to ten years, further reflects the trust placed in GRS O&M by its clients and partners. “Drawing on the confidence that comes from our extensive experience in photovoltaic projects, we are strengthening our presence in Portugal through this important and highly motivating project. We would like to thank WElink Energy for selecting our company to maximise the performance of Solara4 and deliver the best possible results in the years ahead,” said Jesús Aguilar, director of GRS O&M.
GRS O&M currently operates around 3.1 GW in PV plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Australia, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, and plans to continue expanding its portfolio in these key markets while opening up new ones in the coming years.
