GRS celebrates a new milestone in its extensive Australian portfolio, the entry into Commercial Operation of the Dalby Hybrid Photovoltaic Project. This pioneering FRV initiative represents a significant contribution to Australia’s Renewable Energy Target, reinforcing the electricity grid with an additional 2.1 GWdc across 12 projects nationwide.
Located in regional Queensland, the Dalby project features a 2.45 MWdc PV installation, combined with a 2.54 MW/5 MWh battery storage system (BESS). The integration of the plant into the national grid allows the hybrid power plant to supply electricity and market it on the National Electricity Market.
The collaboration between the companies that make up the Gransolar Group has been fundamental in this project, in which, once again, efforts and resources have been combined to confirm the company’s commitment to innovation and its role in shaping a sustainable future.
Commitment to hybrid technology
“Hybrid technology is not just the future, it represents a present that the GRS team has masterfully embraced. Our willingness to undertake hybrid technology projects in Australia is a clear demonstration of our exceptional capability and vision for the future. The effort and adaptability of the GRS team represent excellence at a time of market evolution,” said José Miguel Plaza, country manager of Grupo Gransolar in Australia. “I extend my deepest thanks to the GRS team, our partners and all stakeholders for their efforts and unwavering support,” he added.
The Dalby Hybrid Photovoltaic Project exemplifies GRS’s commitment to sustainable development and its role as a key player in the renewable energy sector in this region. With this project, GRS has not only delivered but has set new standards of excellence and innovation in the sector.
