AUGUST

According to the United Nations Environmental Program, we currently produce about 300 million tons of plastic every year. That is equivalent to the weight of the entire human population of the planet. Between 5 and 12 million tons end up annually in the oceans, which will take up to 1,000 years to degrade.

Before it is too late, we must become aware of the three R’s: Recycle, Reuse and Reduce, to prevent plastic waste from permanently altering our ecosystems.
